Reading a Sargent Cylindrical Part Number
Sargent cylindrical part numbers stack the line, function, trim and finish into one string. Knowing the pattern makes a hardware schedule readable at a glance.

Keypad Versions
The 10X platform is also available with an integrated keypad, which replaces keys with codes on openings where the access list changes regularly.
The practical advantage is revocation. Removing someone's access means deleting a code, which takes seconds. On a keyed opening the equivalent is rekeying, which means a locksmith, new cores and new keys issued to everyone who legitimately needs access.
Most keypad configurations retain a key override through a cylinder, so the opening stays inside the building's key system rather than becoming an exception to it.
Keypad versions are available in our Sargent Keypad 10X Line Cylindrical Locks collection.
